Frequently Asked Questions on Prepaid Promo and Load Loan

This service allows all Globe Prepaid customers to borrow load or promos instantly and pay later so you stay connected when you need it most!

For Globe Prepaid customers, available loan amounts depend on your account usage, such as how often you reload and other prepaid activities. These offers may change based on your usage and behavior.

Here are the types of loan services you can borrow:

  1. Emergency Loans – These are load/promo options for urgent services for data, calls or texts.   
  2. Promo and Load Loans – These are for selected Globe Prepaid customers based on usage and payment history. You can borrow promos or load for extra data, calls, or texts.
  3. Roaming Loans - These are data or texts promos you can borrow to   keep you connected in urgent moments when abroad, and pay it back on your next load or  local promo purchase. To avoid early availment, *143# and GlobeOne promo descriptions will indicate that these offers are to be used while abroad and this will be activated immediately.

All Globe Prepaid customers can borrow any of the following emergency offers, valid for 1 day:

Other Promo & Load Loan offers are available depending on your eligibility. Check your available loan offers via:

  • *143#: Dial *143# and select "LOANS"
  • GlobeOne app: Open the GlobeOne app, choose “Buy Promos” and search “LOAN”.

Eligibility is based on your prepaid account activity, including:

 

Must be a registered and active Globe Prepaid customer

✔ Regular top-ups and usage

✔ Good payment history for previous loaned amounts

You may borrow a promo or a load amount anytime through any of the following channels:

    1. Dial *143#
    2. Choose “Loans”
    3. Select your desired loan offer
    4. Choose subscribe
  2. Via GlobeOne app
    1. Open the GlobeOne app
    2. Click on “Buy Promos”
    3. Search “Loan”
    4. Choose your desired loan offer
    5. Click on “Borrow”
  3. Via SMS
    1. Text the loans keyword to 3733. 
    2. Note: Text to 3733 is free.
  4. Via Facebook
    1. While using free Facebook, click “Buy Data” to see your available offers

You can only have one active loan at a time. Pay your existing loan first before borrowing again.

You will pay the loaned promo or load amount plus a minimal service fee. This fee covers the cost of advancing the service before payment.

 

Tip! Borrow through the GlobeOne app and enjoy a P1 service fee on any loan offer.

You can pay for your loan in three ways:

  

  1. Purchase load/promo. Your loan will be automatically deducted   on your next regular load top-up.

NOTE: Starting March 5, 2026 , data of the next promo purchase of some customers may be automatically deducted to settle unpaid loans. We begin collecting from your promo data 14 days after your loan availment date. However, you can always pay in full sooner by purchasing load.  

  1. Pay using your load wallet via text (If load is sufficient). Text “PAY LOAN” to 3733.
  2. Pay using your load wallet via *143# (If load is sufficient).   Dial *143#, choose “LOANS” and select “PAY LOAN”
  

You will receive a confirmation message once any automatic collection or manual payment has been made.

There are no interest charges, but you must settle your loan so you can use the Loans service when you need it again.

Starting March 5, 2026, paying your Globe Loans will be easier. A portion of the data allocated for all sites from your next promo top-up will automatically be used to pay your existing loan (this will be gradually rolled out to select customers). This change makes our loan service more reliable, allowing you to settle faster and continue borrowing whenever you need an extra boost.

 

Rest assured this feature has been approved by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), so you can be confident that it has the necessary permission once it becomes available.

If your loan isn’t paid after 14 days, the total unpaid amount (loan + service fee) will be converted to data using a peso-to-MB rate based on the loan type:

  • ₱1 = 20MB: Emergency or SOS loans (e.g. MBSOS, TXTSOS, IDDSOS, COMBOSOS, CALLSOS) 
  • ₱1 = 100MB: All other loan offers

Yes. We will only collect up to 50% of your open-access data from the promo you bought. This means half of your data is saved so you still have plenty left to use for your data needs.

 If 50% of the promo's open access data is insufficient to cover the loan, we will partially collect based on the data-to-peso conversion rate. On your next promo registration, we will proceed to collect the balance of your loan.

No. You won’t be charged again within 24 hours after your loan is collected, even if you top up with regular load.

Yes! You’ll get a reminder text to top up and pay within 14 days, and another message once your payment has been successfully collected through load or data.

You can easily check it through any of these options:

  • GlobeOne App: Open the GlobeOne app, go to your Account box on the dashboard, and tap Loan Details to view your Loan Availment Details and Payment History. No data charges apply when using the app.
  • SMS: Text LOAN STATUS to 3733. This service is free of charge.
  • *143#: Dial *143#, then select LOANS > Status.

Starting May 5, 2026, you can now avail Loan Roaming data and text offers when abroad by sending the loan keyword to 3733. Just text LOAN <Promo Name> to 3773 ( eg. LOAN ROAMSURF50)

Roaming Loan offers are emergency (“pantawid”) services that let you borrow data or texts while abroad so you can stay connected in urgent situations. You can repay the loan on your next reload or by purchasing a local promo. These are meant for short-term, critical use and not as a replacement for regular roaming packages.

Once the loan is fully used, you will automatically switch to standard pay-per-use roaming rates. To avoid these unexpected charges and ensure continuous service, please secure a regular roaming promo.

Pay-per-use charges will apply only if all of the following are true:

  • You have enough load balance
  • Your roaming loan has expired
  • You have no active roaming promo
  • Mobile data and data roaming are both turned ON

In case your flight was cancelled and you’re not able to use the service, you may request a refund. If you already paid the loan before submitting the refund request, we will still validate it. Once it is confirmed that the service was not used, we will process the refund or write-off of your loan.

We’ve initially piloted the offer to select GlobeOne app users and this will soon be available to all eligible customers.  

If the offer is not visible in your GlobeOne yet, you may still be able to avail for emergency promos by sending the keyword to 3733.
