VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE) roaming lets you access audio call and text services in countries that no longer have 2G and/or 3G networks. It connects your calls to LTE instead of a cellular signal, giving you the highest quality audio every time.

Some roaming partners in other countries have shut down their 2G and 3G networks, blocking access to calls and texts. VoLTE allows you to make voice calls over the LTE network.

With VoLTE roaming, you can stay connected with calls and texts through our VoLTE-ready roaming partners.

To start using VoLTE abroad, make sure:

  1. You’re using a VoLTE-capable handset and VoLTE is enabled on your device.
  2. Your account is VoLTE-provisioned.
  3. You’re connected to a VoLTE-ready roaming partner.

For Postpaid customers: You’re automatically VoLTE-provisioned.

For Prepaid/TM customers: You can request VoLTE activation through Globe’s official Facebook Messenger account.

Regular roaming rates apply for calls and texts via VoLTE, with no additional data charges.
