Frequently Asked Questions on Zonal Rates
Zonal rating simplifies roaming charges for Globe Postpaid customers traveling abroad. Instead of varying rates per operator in each country, there is now a single rate per service based on two designated zones.
Additionally, roaming charges are now in Philippine Pesos (PHP) with no hidden fees such as taxes or surcharges.
The zonal rates are as follows:
| Service | Zone 1: Asia-Pacific & America | Zone 2: Europe & Africa |
|---|---|---|
| To make a call | ₱120 per minute | ₱150 per minute |
| To receive a call | ₱60 per minute | ₱75 per minute |
| To send a text | ₱20 per 160 characters | ₱25 per 160 characters |
| To receive a text | FREE | FREE |
| To surf on mobile | ₱3 per 10Kb* | ₱5 per 10Kb* |
- Easy to understand and remember
- No need to choose a roaming operator
- No more USD to PHP conversion
- No hidden charges
Zonal rates apply to all Globe Postpaid Plans, from legacy plans to My Super Plan and My Fully Loaded Plans. However, Load Tipid Plans and Load Allowance Plans are not eligible for this promo.
No registration is needed. Zonal rates automatically replace existing roaming rates for eligible customers.
