Once you’ve successfully upgraded to an LTE/5G-ready SIM, the freebie will be sent to you automatically. You will receive a text confirmation from Globe saying that you can start using the free 10GB. - I didn't receive a text about this offer, can I still get a free LTE/5G-ready SIM? Am I also entitled to the free 10GB data allocation?
If you didn't receive a text but are still using a non-LTE SIM, please replace it with an LTE/5G-ready SIM at our nearest Globe store. And, yes, you will be entitled to the free 10GB data upon successful SIM upgrade. - Got it! Will my load, promo, rewards points and GCash wallet be retained after I change to an LTE/5G-ready SIM?
Yes, they will. You may use the promo offer only within the Philippines. - How will I know if I'm already using an LTE/5G-ready SIM?
You may text SIM CHECK to 8080. You will know your SIM is LTE/5G-ready if: - Your network signal bars indicate if you're on LTE/5G or 3G only.

- Can I transfer the freebie to another Globe Prepaid/TM number?
You can only enjoy the freebie using your upgraded Globe Prepaid LTE/5G-ready SIM. It cannot be transferred to another Prepaid or TM mobile number. - I want to replace my defective / missing SIM. What do I do?
To have your SIM replaced, you may visit any Globe Store and line up for SIM replacement. To see which stores are open, click here. On the day of your visit, bring your actual SIM, 1 valid ID, and the filled out Google Form which will be sent via text or email (if you set an appointment). For Lost SIM concerns, bring your SIM Bed/GCash Card (if available), 2 valid IDs (at least 1 must be government-issued), filled out Google Form which will be sent via email (if you set an appointment), and a standard notarized affidavit of loss with your name, citizenship, address, and signature.
- What happens if I use my LTE/5G-ready SIM on a non-5G device? How will I know if the area I live in is 5G-covered or not? Where can I find the nearest Globe store to my location?
Your LTE/5G-ready SIM will continue to work but you'll only be able to reach the speed that your device is designed for. To know if your area is 5G-covered, check out our List of 5G Areas. How do I check how much I’ve used up out of the free 10GB?
Once your freebie has been consumed or expired, you can still access the internet using your smartphone but your internet access will now be charged a regular browsing rate of P5/15 minutes, unless you're subscribed to a mobile data promo. Don't worry, you'll be notified via text when you reach this point. You can also check the status of your freebie via the GlobeOne app.
PIN-less SIM Upgrade Process FAQs - What is PIN-less SIM Upgrade?
You can now upgrade your old 2G/3G SIM to an LTE/5G-ready SIM without the need for a one-time PIN (OTP). The system will automatically perform the validation to complete the process, making it easier and more secure. To complete the PIN-less SIM Upgrade process, you must insert the new LTE/5G-ready SIM to the same device or handset and SIM slot as your old SIM. - How do I upgrade my SIM?
You can upgrade your SIM in 4 easy steps: 1. Insert your new SIM into your device. 2. Enter your 11-digit mobile number. 3. Wait for your request to be validated. 4. Once validated, you will receive a text confirming your successful SIM upgrade.
- Can I change my SIM to a different Globe service?
Your SIM upgrade request will not convert your number to a different service. For number switching concerns, click here. - Where do I claim an Upgrade SIM?
You may visit any Globe store to claim your free Upgrade SIM. - What if I have inserted the new SIM in a different device or entered the wrong number?
If you have inserted the new SIM into a different device or SIM slot, these are the steps on how to proceed: 1. Re-insert your old SIM into the device. Note: The old SIM must be inserted in the same device or handset and SIM slot bed as the new SIM. 2. Text UPGRADE to 8080 and wait for the message prompt. You have to send this within 2 minutes. 3. Reinsert the new SIM into the device in the SIM slot as the old SIM. 4. Upon inserting the new SIM into the device, SIM upgrade process is now complete.
- What if I used a third device to trigger the SIM upgrade?
The SIM upgrade process will not proceed if you have used three different devices to complete the process. - What do I do if my SIM upgrade request was unsuccessful?
After a failed SIM upgrade attempt, you will have to wait 15 minutes before trying again. The maximum number of SIM upgrade attempts per day is three (3). If you have reached three consecutive failed SIM upgrade attempts within the day, you will have to wait for 24 hours before trying again. - I can't proceed with my SIM upgrade request because the number I provided for the SIM upgrade is in the incorrect format. What should I do?
Make sure that your mobile number is in the 11-digit format (Ex. 09179179171). The maximum number of attempts for entering info per SIM upgrade request is three (3). If you have reached three consecutive failed attempts, you may retry your SIM upgrade request after 15 minutes. - I've already inserted my new Upgrade SIM, but the self-service menu hasn't appeared yet. Is there a problem with my SIM or phone?
Some mobile phones have a quicker set-up time than others. If the menu doesn't appear within 5 minutes, your phone may not be compatible with the Upgrade SIM. In this case, please try using another phone. - Who do I contact for issues related to SIM Upgrade?
