Once you upgrade to an LTE/5G-ready SIM, the free 10GB will be sent to you automatically. You’ll get a text confirmation from Globe when it’s ready to use.

Yes! If you’re still using a non-LTE SIM, visit any Globe Store to replace it with an LTE/5G-ready SIM. You’ll still get the free 10GB data after the upgrade.

Yes, they will. However, the free promo offer can only be used within the Philippines.

You can check by texting SIM CHECK to 8080. You can also confirm it by checking if:

  • Your phone shows LTE/5G in the signal bars.
  • Your SIM card has 128K memory.
     

No, the free 10GB can only be used on the upgraded LTE/5G-ready SIM.

Visit any Globe Store for SIM replacement.

  • For a defective SIM, bring:
  • The actual SIM.
  • One valid ID.
  • A filled-out Google Form (sent via text or email if you booked an appointment).

For a lost SIM, bring:

  • SIM bed or GCash card (if available).
  • Two valid IDs (at least one government-issued).
  • A filled-out Google Form.
  • A notarized affidavit of loss with your name, citizenship, address, and signature.

Your LTE/5G-ready SIM will still work, but will only run at the speed supported by your device.

Once the freebie is used up or expires, you can still go online, but you’ll be charged the regular rate of P5 per 15 minutes unless you subscribe to a data promo.

You’ll get a text notification when your freebie runs out. You can also check its status on the GlobeOne app.

Frequently Asked Questions on PIN-less SIM Upgrade Process

PIN-less SIM Upgrade lets you upgrade your old 2G/3G SIM to an LTE/5G-ready SIM without needing a one-time PIN (OTP). The system automatically validates your request, making the process easier and more secure.

To complete the upgrade, insert the new LTE/5G-ready SIM into the same device and SIM slot as your old SIM.

Upgrading your SIM is easy! Just follow these steps:

  1. Insert your new SIM into your device.
  2. Enter your 11-digit mobile number.
  3. Wait for validation.
  4. Once validated, you’ll receive a confirmation text for your successful SIM upgrade.

No, upgrading your SIM won’t change your number to a different service. For number switching concerns, click here.

You can claim your free Upgrade SIM at any Globe Store.

If this happens, follow these steps:

  1. Reinsert your old SIM into the same device and SIM slot.
  2. Text UPGRADE to 8080 within 2 minutes and wait for the message prompt.
  3. Insert the new SIM into the same SIM slot as the old SIM.
  4. The SIM upgrade process will then be completed.

The SIM upgrade won’t proceed if three different devices are used during the process.

If your SIM upgrade fails:

  • Wait 15 minutes before trying again.
  • You can attempt the SIM upgrade up to 3 times per day. If you reach the daily limit, wait 24 hours before trying again.

Ensure your number is in the correct 11-digit format (e.g., 09179179171).

  • You have up to 3 attempts to enter the correct number.
  • After 3 failed attempts, wait 15 minutes before retrying.

Some phones take longer to set up. If the menu doesn’t appear within 5 minutes, your phone might not be compatible with the Upgrade SIM. Try using another device instead.
