NTC Memorandum Circular No. 01-05-2019 is the government mandate defining the Rules and Regulations on Unlocking of Mobile Phones and Devices for Public Telecommunications Entity (PTE).

When is the effectivity data of NTC Memorandum Circular No. 01-05-2019?

The effectivity date for PTEs to allow unlocking of eligible devices is on June 17, 2019. PTEs should be able to comply with all the requirements stated in Section 2; 2.1-2.5 of the NTC Memorandum Circular No. 01-05-2019 on the said date.

What are the requirements to have my Globe Postpaid device unlocked?

Globe Postpaid account holders can request for device unlocking if the following eligibility rules are met:

  1. Customer should be out of contract (if within contract, pre termination fees will apply)
  2. Customer must have no outstanding balance to Globe
  3. Account holder should make the request to Globe
