Breastfeeding Awareness Month: Top Malls with Nursing Stations Moms Love!

Are you breastfeeding your baby? One of the biggest challenges (besides sleepless nights) is finding a spot to nurse when you're out and about.

Thankfully, many malls have breastfeeding stations that are clean, comfortable, and private. You and your baby can enjoy quiet feeding times, just like if you were at home.

In honor of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, here’s a guide to the best breastfeeding stations in Manila and beyond.

SM Malls (Nationwide)

SM won an Anvil Award for its breastfeeding practices, including nursing stations and annual breastfeeding awareness campaign.

SM Megamall was the first Philippine mall to introduce a breastfeeding room. Now, over 80 SM malls offer these convenient spaces. You can find them near restrooms or food courts for easy access. They feature comfy seating, electrical outlets for breast pumps, and small sinks and diaper changing areas.

Check this list to find breastfeeding stations in every SM mall. Here’s another bonus for mamas: you can use your Go+ promo vouchers to get discounts at SM and Watsons.

Ayala Malls (Nationwide)

The mall chain’s breastfeeding area is part of their family lounge, so it’s very convenient if you also have other kids. While you nurse in the curtained-off area, your family can stay in the play zone or computer nook.

The nursing chairs are next to electric outlets and side tables, so you can keep breastfeeding supplies within reach. The nursing stations in Alabang Town Center even have La-Z-Boy chairs.

Find Ayala Malls’ breastfeeding stations:

  • Greenbelt 5, Makati: Level 4, next to Nail Tropics
  • Glorietta, Makati: Level 3, near Food Court
  • Trinoma, Quezon City: Level 3, beside Sony Square
  • U.P. Town Center, Quezon City: Ground Floor, near La Lola
  • Vertis North, Quezon City: Level 2, between Hair X and Digital Walker
  • Rustan’s Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa: Level 2, Corte de Las Palmas
  • Abreeza, Davao: Level 3, near Ranch & Reef
  • Ayala Center, Cebu: Level 3, beside Bullet Center

Greenbelt 5

After shopping or running in the outdoor areas, you and your family may need a little “quiet time.” The family lounge—and its private breastfeeding rooms—provides that sanctuary.

The nursing area has comfy chairs next to electric outlets. Meanwhile, your family can use the toys and books or watch a movie while they wait.

Find the family lounge on Level 4, Greenbelt 5. However, you need to present a BPI Amore Card or ₱2,000 single receipt to access it.

Vertis North

Get ready to be pampered while you breastfeed! Vertis’ nursing rooms have OGAWA massage chairs, which mimic the effect of a real massage and boost blood circulation.

Each room also has a sink and diaper-changing table.

The family lounge is on Level 3. You need to be a member of the Ayala Rewards Circle (ARC) to use the facilities.

Rustan’s Alabang Town Center

This is where comfort and convenience meet cuteness overload. Aside from the big chairs, charging outlets, and diaper station, this breastfeeding nook has colorful murals and wall decals.

You’ll enjoy quiet time with your baby, and many opportunities for Instagram-worthy pics.

Head to Level 2, Corte de Las Palmas. It’s next to the gift-wrapping section and the bathrooms.

Shangri-La Plaza (Mandaluyong)

Shangri-La's breastfeeding area has a refrigerator where you can store milk while you go shopping.

Shangri-La's breastfeeding rooms provide everything you need to make nursing convenient and comfortable.

You’ll find two diaper changing stations, extra wide chairs so you can find a comfortable nursing position, and a refrigerator for temporarily storing your extra milk. It even has a microwave and water heater.

However, there are no outlets or curtains, so make sure your breast pump is charged and bring a cover-up.

Check out Edsa Shangri-La's breastfeeding station on Level 4, East Wing Building (near Paul Frank).

Estancia (Capitol Commons, Pasig)

You don’t have to walk far to find a breastfeeding area in Estancia. The family lounges, located at each wing of the mall, have a private nursing room.

The nursing room has two comfortable chairs and a diaper changing table. Meanwhile, your family can rest in the main room’s big, soft sofas.

The family lounges are on Level 2, near the restrooms.

Uptown Mall (Bonifacio Global City)

Uptown’s individual nursing areas can help you breastfeed in complete privacy for quality bonding time.

Uptown’s breastfeeding stations provide a private sanctuary to nurse your baby or even settle them down for a nap. The room has individual nursing “cubicles” with their own chairs and diaper changing stations.

While you nurse, your family can wait in the lounge, which has a TV, board games, and free Wi-Fi.

Find Uptown’s breastfeeding area at the Family Lounge, Level 3, next to the cinemas. Look for the sign pointing to the “Mommy Corner.”

Rockwell Powerplant (Makati)

Rockwell’s breastfeeding room goes all-out with amenities. It has four private lactation stations, each has a chair, cot, and changing table. It even has a mirror and a tissue box, if you want to quickly retouch your makeup.

Your family can wait in the main lounge, which has books and toys to entertain your other kids.

The Breastfeeding Room is on Level 2, near the National Bookstore.

It has three rooms (partitioned with curtains for privacy), adorable diaper changing stations, and wall hooks for your bags. You can also refill your water bottle at the water dispenser. Breastfeeding moms need to stay hydrated!

Got young kids in tow? They can entertain themselves with toys and puzzles or draw on the tot-sized table sets.

You’ll find breastfeeding stations within the IKEA store and in the IKEA restaurant. You can also use these shopping tips to make the most of your trip.

S Maison (Pasay)

Though the room can only accommodate one mom at a time, it’s designed to be as convenient as possible. The chair is next to a side table and two electric outlets, so you can charge your pumps and even your phone.

Go to Level 2, next to Digital Walker.
