Mr. Ng Tian Chong, Singaporean, 61, was elected as Director on April 21, 2026. He leads Singtel Singapore, overseeing its consumer and enterprise businesses. In addition to ensuring the smooth running and advancement of its critical networks, as well as digital and mobile services, his role involves identifying synergies, building capabilities, and driving innovation and growth locally and globally—strengthening Singtel’s market leadership.
Under Mr. Ng’s stewardship, Singtel Singapore is leading the shift towards being an AI-first Telco of the Future with AI-enabled, digital-first platforms for both consumers and enterprises. Singtel has achieved significant milestones in connectivity, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence—essential to supporting the digital lifestyles of consumers, the business goals of enterprises, and the economic ambitions of the nation. Singtel has also won numerous global and regional accolades for its leading network advancements and capabilities.
Prior to joining the telco in 2022, Mr. Ng spent more than 30 years at HP, where he held key positions in sales, finance, product management, service and support, as well as marketing, across regional and country portfolios. He played a key role in building HP to become a best-in-class player in the region. He left the company as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Greater Asia, with responsibility for all its go-to-market strategies and overall financial performance.
Mr. Ng also sits on the boards of Dyson and some of Singtel’s subsidiaries and regional associates like Globe Capital Venture Holdings Inc.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Mr. Ng holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Menlo College in California and a Master's in Business Administration from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.
He also served his National Service in the Singapore Army in various Command and Staff roles for 32 years of service, retiring at the rank of Colonel. During this time, he won the State Medal, Public Administration Medal Bronze (Military/SAF) 2016, State Medal, Long Service (Military) 2015, and State Medal, Commendation Medal (Military) 2007, among other awards.
