I'd like to avail of a Postpaid plan. What are the requirements I need to present?

The requirements needed to apply for this type of plan are the following: Proof of Identification, Proof of Billing Address and Proof of Financial Capacity. The table below shows the acceptable documents for each type of requirement:

Proof of Identification
  • Company ID
  • Driver's License
  • Passport (bearing signature)
  • SSS/TIN/GSIS ID
  • PRC/IBP ID
Proof of Billing Address
  • Any Acceptable ID with Address
  • Credit Card Statement
  • Public Utility Bills (electric, water, cable)
  • Bank Statement
  • Notarized Contract of Lease
  • Airway Bill
  • Should be the latest copy and must not be expired.
Proof of Financial Capacity
  • Computerized 1-month Payslip
  • Certificate of Employment and Compensation
  • ITR with BIR or Bank-received Stamp (form 1700)
  • W-2 (form 2316)
  • Credit Card (swipe to charge advance monthly service fee)
  • 3-month Certificate of Allotment plus Employment Contract (for overseas workers)
  • Should be the latest copy and must not be expired.

Recontracting? Is that the same as plan renewal?

Recontracting, or plan renewal, means renewing your subscription contract once you go past your contract period (usually two years). By plan renewal, you can also avail of a new handset for free or with a certain cash-out, depending on your plan.

Awesome! How can I apply for recontracting or plan renewal?

Simple! To confirm if you’re now eligible for plan renewal, you may download the GlobeOne app here. If you’ve confirmed that your contract has ended, dial 211 using your Globe mobile or (02) 7730-1000 from a landline anytime from 8 AM-10 PM and a customer service representative will help with your plan renewal.  As long as your preferred handset is available, it can be delivered to you within 24-48 hours (for Metro Manila addresses) or 3-5 days (for addresses outside Metro Manila).


You’ll also need to sign a plan renewal form that will be sent to you via email and give this to the courier upon delivery of your handset. The form can also be given by a store representative if you’re picking up your device from a Globe store.


If you already have your own device, you can opt to change to ThePLAN Plus which is the SIM-only version of ThePLAN, and get bonus consumable value depending on the plan you choose. The table below shows the amount of the bonus value that you’ll get with ThePLAN Plus.

What are the requirements for recontracting or plan renewal?

To renew your plan, you must:

  • have an active postpaid account
  • have a postpaid account that's either out of contract, or the contract will end in 30 days or less.
  • have no remaining balance from the previous bill
  • download and sign a plan renewal form
