What kind of apps are available in Google Play Store?

There are numerous apps on the Google Play Store. The apps are categorized under Games, Movies, Books, Apps, etc. The user can select and download the apps that he/she wants. Inside each category is a view of Top Paid and Top Free apps that are downloaded by other users.

What is Direct Carrier Billing?

Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) is a payment option that allows customers to purchase digital content like games, movies, music, eBooks, apps, etc. by charging it to his/her prepaid balance or to his/her postpaid bill. To use DCB via Globe, you can select Globe Billing as your payment option.

How will I activate the Google Play DCB via Globe Telecom?

When will I be charged if I choose DCB as my payment option?

  • For Prepaid customers, you’ll be charged immediately for your app purchases from the app store.
  • For Postpaid customers, you’ll be charged through your bill. Your transaction will reflect on your billing statement depending on your bill cycle.

How will the charges reflect on my postpaid bill?

You'll see your transaction charges for your purchase under the bill liner 'Google Play purchases apps/in-app purchases' of your Globe billing statement. The amount reflected on your bill is the total amount charged for your Google Play purchases. How do I check my active and/or cancelled Google Play subscriptions?

To view your subscriptions on Google Play:

  1. Open the Google Play app.
  2. At the top right, tap your profile icon.
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions and then Subscriptions.
    • Under “Subscriptions,” you can check the list of subscriptions for expired subscriptions, or subscriptions with declined payment methods.

What do I do if I encounter issues with my purchase?

You can raise your concern directly to the developer. The support details for the developer can be found in the app itself or the email notification that you received during the time of purchase.

Can I cancel my Google Play purchase even after my transaction is successful?

Yes, you can cancel the purchase within 2 hours from the time of your transaction. You're also entitled to a refund for the canceled purchase as long as you cancel within the 2-hour window. If you don't cancel within the window, the refund/cancel option will be disabled.

Will I be notified after canceling an app purchase?

If you cancel an app purchase within the 2-hour window, you'll receive an email notification from Google about the amount, canceled app, and other details of refund.
